Bought these because of the roll-top, waterproof feature. It was my first foray into bike packing trips and I was planning months in advance so couldn't predict the weather. I cannot think of any way to make these easier to attach and use. I mean, just slide the thing in place, release the handle, and they are attached!. To detach, I simply grab the handle and away we go. No velcro straps, no bungee cords, no hooks. It's like they made a magical bag. Seriously. Now I know those of you who have used this type of mount probably think my reaction is child-like. I do too. I'm that happy. Oh yeah, they are also roomy and very well constructed. I guess that matters too.
