This came with no instructions! Fortunately, Amazon had pictures of it and had a close-up of how the barrel attached to the handle. Still, we needed to use a wrench to bend the pins in order to tighten. We used a wrench and socket set to tighten the nuts and bolts. Assembly wasn't particularly difficult, but instructions would have been so much better and it was helpful to have two people working on it together. The hole for the water is pretty small, but we were able to make a funnel that helped.I purposely looked for the smallest width of a lawn roller that I could find, because we have limited storage space. We have a large lawn, but I knew we wouldn't be rolling the lawn very often. Size-wise, I think this was a good choice. We have severe damage from groundhogs and tree roots, so I'm not sure if this has enough weight to be effective for our situation, but it is lightweight enough to be very easy to use. I rolled the lawn last night and it did make some progress. I will have to roll it several times. I think this will be just the right size for the garden area when I need to level paving stones.Even though we used a wrench and socket set to tighten the nuts and bolts, the handle was still a bit loose. I only mention that in case the manufacturer wants to try to improve it. It didn't really make make a difference in use.
